Using the Due to/Due from (DTDF) Reconciliation Template

Fundriver has developed DTDF Reconciliation Templates to help you figure out what your DTDF entry should be. Below are instructions for using the templates.  Choose which template to use based on whether you are using a DTDF Fund or a DTDF Manager.  

Please note:  The first two tabs are templates for clients who utilize DTDF Funds.  We recommend using the DTDF - Fund Level (Revised) template, as it includes the DTDF transfer transaction type.  The last tab is the template for clients who utilize DTDF Managers.  These templates can be modified by each client to meet your specific needs.  Please find the templates attached to this article below.

1. DTDF Fund:  In the column for the month you are closing, enter the Fundriver Activity totals for each category listed below.  If you are a client who has customized other activity types, please feel free to add a column to the template to accommodate those activities.

1.1. Enter any cash flow to/from the investment pool.

1.2. Your DTDF calculation will be figure for you.  Negative amounts are due from Operating; positive amounts are due to operating.

1.3. Enter the AMOUNT for the period as a transaction in ACTIVITY > TRANSACTION entry.

Click SAVE.

2. DTDF Manager:  The Manager Template is used in the same way the Fund Template is used.  Enter your activity for the posting period to each category.

2.1. Enter the cash that was transferred to/from the pool that period.

3. Your NET CASH FLOW and ENDING MARKET VALUES are calculated for you to enter into your DTDF Investment Manager.

4. Navigate to ACTIVITY>INVESTMENT ACTIVITY and click on the MANAGER DATA ENTRY tab.  Choose your DTDF Manager and enter the numbers from the reconciliation template.

Click SAVE VALUES.

5. Run the MANAGER RECONCILIATION REPORT under REPORT > INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO REPORTS to verify you reconcile.
